Outpatient services

Find out about our newly launched outpatient groups here

The following niche outpatient services (outside of our day therapy programme), which will be launched this year, are funded by a grant. You can apply for the following groups and therapy services not at the first interview on Tuesday, but on the application forms in the descriptions!

Youth group

We welcome applications from young people aged 16 or over who are under 18 or still in secondary education. Who want to do something about their difficulties, if they often find themselves in a situation where they feel they are being cut down, if they are overwhelmed by unmanageable conflicts and emotions, if they feel hopeless in dealing with big issues, or simply have an anxious, depressed daily life.

  • The group is for people who do not want to give up their schooldays and are willing to
    take on the challenge.
Joining the group is preceded by an initial interview, the date of which will be communicated after the application is accepted.

Enrolment is voluntary, but written consent from the parent/guardian is required, so attendance at the first interview is expected.
    Group dates: Fridays 15:30-17:00

    Planned start: April 2024

Participation fee: 2.000 HUF/person/application, which is a contribution to the self-financing and commitment.
Group leaders: Gergely Papp and Zsolt Zalka

Related party group

We are launching an open group for relatives of people struggling with addiction at Thalassa House. We welcome family members, friends, siblings and anyone who has a relative with addiction and feels alone at this difficult time.

  • The aim of the group is to provide a supportive community where participants can learn
from each other and share their difficulties and joys. The group facilitators are support professionals with expertise in addiction who can offer help with issues related to addiction. The
group allows people to talk about the difficulties they are experiencing with addiction and to share their experiences so that they can help each other.

We cannot accept relatives of people in our treatment programme.

The group is held every two weeks from spring, Wednesdays 16:30-18.00
Location: 1223 Budapest, Jókai Mór u. 21. (Thalassa House Psychotherapy
    and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Institute)

The group is open to all after prior registration and personal meeting. You can register using the form on this link. LINK

We are always open for applications for the open group.

As a new service, we would also like to help families with relationship problems. In systemic family therapy, we work with the impact of family members on each other and their relationships. We welcome applications from families who want to change or improve their relationship problems with the help of professionals.

  • The sessions will be held every two weeks on Tuesday afternoon, 16.30-18.00, in the Thalassa House.

We cannot accept participants and their families in our therapeutic programme in this service.

The fee for participation in family therapy is 5.000 HUF/family/application

You can apply using the form on this link. Depending on the number of applicants, there may be a waiting list. The first session will be a first interview, where we will decide together with the family whether we can work together.
